Admission Application Procedures
The South College DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program receives applications for admission exclusively through the Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS). Application instructions can be found by searching for the South College DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program at https://nursingcas.org/. It is strongly encouraged that all applicants thoroughly review the requirements and instructions for admission application before attempting to apply to the South College DNP NAP.
APPLYING FOR ADMISSION
Applications are currently CLOSED for January 2025 matriculation. Applications for January 2026 matriculation will open December 15, 2024.
Application Review
The DNP NAP Committee will review all completed and verified applications (i.e., application and all supporting materials received) in the order of receipt. The DNP NAP Committee will use a holistic, evaluative process to ensure nondiscrimination and equal opportunity for all applicants. If an applicant is selected to go forward after initial admissions application review, there will be additional requirements for a live, virtual interview (by invitation only) and appropriate health and background screenings, as well as verification of the applicant’s ability to meet program technical standards.
Interview Process
The DNP NAP Operations Coordinator will contact selected applicants and provide further instructions for completing the interview process.
Selection Process
The DNP NAP Committee will extend offers of admission based on a holistic evaluation of their application, supporting documents, and interviews. All applicants will be notified by email regarding final selection decisions. Admissions are conducted on a rolling basis, and the admissions cycle will remain open until the cohort is filled and a waitlist is populated. For additional questions related to admission to the program, please contact Kelly Bates, Nurse Anesthesia Program Director of Operations, by email at kbates@south.edu, or by telephone at (865) 288-8420.
