South College Asheville names Dr. Danielle Kwasnik as campus president
South College has promoted Dr. Danielle Kwasnik to serve as campus president for the institution’s Asheville, North Carolina, campus.
South College, a multi-campus institution, founded in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1882, offers 100-plus programs and concentrations taught at eight physical campuses and online.
“Dr. Kwasnik brings strength in both academics and operations and will utilize her broad skillset to continue South College Asheville’s positive trajectory as campus president,” South College Chancellor Stephen A. South said. “We congratulate her on this promotion and look forward to serving student, workforce, and community needs with Dr. Kwasnik at the helm.”
Kwasnik has served as dean of academic and student services at the institution’s Atlanta campus since 2018, and has served in administrator and associate professor roles in post-secondary education for more than 25 years.
Kwasnik earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology, political science, and psychology from Gardner-Webb University, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Doctor of Education (EdD) from Nova Southeastern University. She succeeds Dr. Lisa Satterfield, who has served in the campus president role in since 2018.
“I am excited for the opportunity to continue my career with South College and bring my passion for program development and strategic planning to further the goals and mission of South College Asheville,” Kwasnik said. “I look forward to exploring my new community and finding innovative and effective ways to serve.”
The campus offers various programs from certificate to master’s levels across several high-demand academic areas of interest. South College students who quality for financial aid have access to a range of programs as do members of the U.S. military, veterans, and their families.
