South College Indianapolis launches Bachelor of Science in Nursing program

South College Indianapolis is launching a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, and enrollment is now open for qualified students to join the inaugural cohort that starts in January 2023.

South College, a multi-campus institution, founded in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1882, offers 80-plus programs and concentrations taught at eight physical campuses and online.

“The addition of the BSN program to the existing lineup of South College Indianapolis healthcare programs provides a great opportunity for students who want to pursue nursing combined with all of the resources that the institution offers,” said Turner South, president of the Indianapolis campus. “Classroom, laboratory, and clinical training from an experienced team of instructors is provided in a supportive environment.”

Students in the BSN program will build a strong academic foundation and learn fundamental skills required of a nurse generalist, including the basics of medical care, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and technical competence required for taking the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) exam.

South College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).* The BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)** and is approved by the Indiana Board of Nursing.

South College students who qualify for financial aid have access to a range of programs as do members of the U.S. military, veterans, and their families. The institution offers both student and career services.
